Social Media Manager

We are looking for an outgoing marketer to join our team who lives and breathes social media and knows how to engage both B2B and B2C audiences. As a key channel manager on the marketing team, the Social Media Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing the company’s social media strategy—driving digital engagement, creating shareable content around our brand and products, and building brand presence and trust through our digital channels. This person will know how to translate buyer personas into content strategies that not only resonate with distinct B2B and B2C target audiences, but will also drive conversions.

Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with overall marketing and business goals. Leverage audience insights and buyer personas to tailor content and messaging that speak to both B2B and B2C audiences. Ensure strategies drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.
  • Content Creation: Create and schedule high-quality and engaging content across social media platforms, including text, image, and video content (including live). Develop a content calendar and ensure consistent publishing of valuable and persona-specific content including thought leadership, user-generated content, and product-focused content..
  • Community Engagement: Foster and engage with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Platform Management: Manage and optimize company profiles on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, and others. Ensure brand consistency and best practices across channels.
  • Social Media Advertising: Plan and execute paid social media campaigns to promote products, services, or events. Monitor ad performance and adjust strategies based on analytics.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Use social media analytics tools to track and analyze performance metrics. Provide regular reports to stakeholders on key social media KPIs and campaign effectiveness.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay current with social media trends, algorithm updates, industry news, and emerging platforms. Implement strategies to capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Team Collaborations: Coordinate with the marketing and design teams to align social media efforts with broader marketing initiatives. Collaborate with other internal teams on cross-departmental campaigns and ensure brand consistency.

Requirements / Preferences: 

  • BS degree in Marketing or relevant field (preferred, not required). 
  • 3+ years of experience as a Social Media Specialist (or similar role), including experience running paid ad campaigns for all major channels (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, X/Twitter, TikTok required) for B2B and B2C audiences simultaneously.
  • Hands on experience in content management and campaign strategy planning.
  • Ability to understand Lulu’s audience and create / deliver creative content based on our target, (text, image and video).
  • Proven experience marketing to both B2B and B2C audiences through social media, with an understanding of how messaging differs across audiences.
  • Ability to interpret buyer personas to develop social media content strategies to drive conversion.
  • Comfortable being on camera frequently, conducting interviews, streaming live, and participating in our podcast.
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics.
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels (i.e. paid search, email marketing, event marketing).
  • Excellent copywriting skills, communication, analytical, and prioritization skills.
  • Experience with social media management tools, like Sprout Social, StatusBrew, or Hootsuite
  • Ability to travel to industry events as needed.
  • This position is hybrid; candidates must be local to the Triangle, NC area and able to come to office two to three days per week, and as needed.
